"Fairy in a bottle! Get 'yer fairy in a bottle!" The raspy old man peddled, several bottles clinking together as he pushed his battered old cart down the busy street. "Get 'yer fairy in a bottle!"
"Excuse me sir, but are those a real fairies in the bottles?" Asked the small girl hopefully. The man looked her up and down, noticing she looked about as shabby as he was. "'Bout as real 'yer gonna get these days." He murmered. Somewhere deep in him he felt a pang of guilt for leading her on as he took her money. What was in that bottle was uncertain, but as the girl looked down at her splendid dress and gilt slippers she realized that this was indeed a most unusual bottle. She knew she would be punished for spending the money given to her to buy bread for dinner, but a soft giggle from her bottle told her that it was not going to be a problem! Stock credits: ---    |
